It is Time to Start Designing Your Outdoor Living Project

It won’t be long before Mother Nature is pushing us into spring and then summer. Even before your outdoor living project begins, you can be sitting down and planning what features you want to incorporate in the patio design. That way, you’ll be ready to go, and your project can be completed in time for getting the most use this year. Here are some features you might want to consider that will make your outdoor living space a beautiful and functional space that adds value to your home.

It is Time to Start Designing Your Outdoor Living Project

  • Outdoor kitchen- It can be really nice to cook outdoors during the summer instead of heating up the kitchen by having the stovetop and oven going. Depending on the features that you put into your outdoor kitchen, you will be able to do anything outside that you typically do inside. Add in a nice seating area and you’ll be able to easily entertain, too.
  • Outdoor fireplace or fire pit- You may not want to use either of these on a hot summer day, but they can be ideal for ambiance and warmth to extend the time you spend each year in your outdoor living space.
  • Stamped concrete- If your outdoor living space includes a pool deck and walkways, consider stamped concrete for an aesthetic boost and for slip resistance.
  • Covered pergola- While an outdoor covered patio is great for enjoying time outdoors when it rains, if you want a smaller area at a lower price point, consider a covered pergola. Either way, having a covered area allows you more flexibility for enjoying your outdoor living space regardless of the weather.

At New Covenant Patios & Outdoors, we are happy to meet with you a few weeks before you want to begin an outdoor living project to discuss features you can add and get assistance in coming up with the patio design that best fits your needs.
